Function

• Acknowledge organisations or people that contributed towards the realisation of your paper or the conducted research.
• Usually, you acknowledge colleagues that reviewed your paper before submission or organisations that provided grants or funds that enabled your research

Style

• Usually very short; only 1-2 sentences

Structure

• The acknowledgements section does not exhibit a distinct structure; it is just 1-2 full text sentences.

  Example

  “This work was supported in part by the National Science Foundation under awards 0133749, 0205724, 0326105, and 0527729, and by a grant from Intel Corporation.“
